US CMA Course Eligibility for Indians

To get eligible for CMA US Exam, candidates must meet the following requirements:

To get a CMA US Certificate, candidates must meet the following requirements:

US CMA Course Exam Pattern

The CMA US Course (Certified Management Accountant) exam is a two-part exam that tests candidates’ knowledge and skills in financial accounting, managerial accounting, economics, and business strategy. The exam is administered by the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).

  • US CMA exams are graded for 500 points and an aspirant is required to gain a scaled score minimum of 360 to qualify the exams.
  • The Part 1 and Part 2 are four hours Exams containing about 100 MCQs and 2 essay questions.
  • Aspirants will be granted 3 hours to finish the MCQs.
  • Aspirants will be granted 1 hour to finish the Essay.

The CMA US course fees in India in 2023 are as follows:

  • CMA Entrance Fee: $280 for professional members and $210 for students/academic members.
  • CMA Exam Fee: $460 for professional members and $345 for students for each part.

There are currently 9 Prometric testing centers in India where you can take the CMA exam. These centers are located in Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Trivandrum.

The CMA US exam window for Indian students is open three times per year, in January/February, May/June, and September/October. The deadline to register for a given CMA exam window is on the 15th of the latter month in that window. You can then schedule your CMA exam date for any time within that window.

No, there is no negative marking in the US CMA exam. This means that you will not lose any marks for answering a question incorrectly. This is a great advantage for Indian students, as many Indian exams have negative marking.
