What is the structure of the CIA exam in 2025?
The CIA exam consists of three parts: Part 1 (Internal Audit Fundamentals), Part 2 (Internal Audit Practice), and Part 3 (Internal Audit Knowledge Elements). The 2025 syllabus is fully aligned with the IIA's new Global Internal Audit Standards.
What are the eligibility criteria for the CIA US?
You generally need a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. While you can sit for the exams earlier, the CIA designation is awarded after you complete 24 months of internal audit (or equivalent) experience.
How long does it take to complete the CIA program?
Most students at PEIX Academy complete all three parts within 9 to 15 months. The exams are entirely multiple-choice and can be taken in any order.
